  My husband and I use to dine at Brick often. I cannot complain about the food, and we were generally treated really well by the staff especially the bar staff. The bartenders are top notch, and Jamie is as good as they come. However, with that being said, our patronize of this restaurant is over. I could go into detail about remarks made by the owner to and about various people, some of them customers of his restaurants, but I do not espouse such unilateral comments. It is enough for me that these comments and his disrespectful treatment of others has been corroborated by multiple sources and appears to be a pattern of behavior over many years. A restaurant eventually takes on an atmosphere reflective of its owner/management. I know many people that feel the same, and like us, they will no longer patronize Brick.

  Been here several times. Generally tasty food. Occasionally crowded and didn't have a reservation, so couldn't be seated. Often a little loud (too many hard surfaces). Always had good to very good service. Sit out back in winter (heated, covered patio) for a fun and interesting experience.
  
  As a side note, most of the poor reviews seem to have nothing to do with food or service, but with some issue related to an incident on social media- some outright and some thinly veiled. I'd read carefully. Not the best restaurant, but not bad.

  The waitress was very rude. If she wanted to leave that night, she shouldn't have been closing. She shouldn't have even sat us down, but instead asked us to find a new spot. It would've been better because we felt rushed.
  
  We didn't even spend an hour there, but she made us feel unwelcome the entire time. She even started shutting the lights off in the back while we were eating. She dropped the check before she was asked to, and I left 25% because I'm in the industry and that's what I do. She didn't deserve it though.
  
  The food was forgettable, but not terrible.

  Never had a bad experience here. Never had bad customer service here. Don't know what all these reviews are going on about. Many of the reviews seem to just be making stuff up. You can't write a review about a restaurant when you haven't experienced the negative things you are talking about. If you're considering eating at Brick, I think you should give it a shot. It has a unique setting with interesting food. Ideal for date night. Also, you might want to be early on a Friday or Saturday night because it fills up quickly.
